I’m Not Okay... and That’s Okay—for Now

Not being okay doesn’t make you weak—it makes you human. This post reminds you that it’s okay to sit with the pain, but you don’t have to stay there. Healing is still possible. Hope is still alive.

There are days when you're just not okay—when getting out of bed feels like a battle, when you're tired of being strong, and when the pain you thought you were past suddenly resurfaces like a wave you didn’t see coming.

Let me say this plainly: not being okay doesn’t make you weak—it makes you human.

God never asked us to fake fine. In fact, some of the most powerful moments in Scripture happened when people broke down, cried out, or even questioned everything. David said, “Why are you cast down, O my soul?” (Psalm 42:5) and Jesus Himself wept. Not being okay is part of the healing process.

But here's the shift: while it's okay to feel what you feel, you don’t have to stay there.

God is not just with you in the pit—He’s there to lift you out. He won’t rush your healing, but He will remind you of your hope.

Maybe today you need to pause, cry, rest, and breathe.
But let tomorrow be the day you reach out, speak up, take the next step. Even if it’s just a whisper:
“God, I don’t feel okay. But I believe You’re not done with me yet.”

Because He’s not.
He’s still healing you. Still growing you. Still holding you.

So sis, it’s okay to not be okay today—just don’t build a home in hopelessness. Let it be a hallway... not a destination.

Better is still ahead.
And hope is still alive.
